Brokers and agencies

Brokers book on their own. You see commissions and payments without spreadsheets.

With the Broker API, brokers, agencies and tour operators search availability and prices from your price list and book straight into the counter calendar. The broker's commissions, credits, invoices and transfers live in the rental system, booking by booking.

The Broker API

The broker works on your price list, not on a copy

Same rules as the counter and the portal: no made-up prices, no vehicle sold twice.

Credentials for each broker

Each broker has its own access, with permissions by area (catalogue, availability, bookings, finance) and, if you want, a list of allowed IP addresses. Revoked in a moment.

Real availability and prices

Branches, groups and extras come from the system; each offer has its price locked for 15 minutes, so the booking confirms the amount shown.

Bookings, changes, cancellations

The broker books, changes and cancels with its own reference; a repeated request never creates duplicates. The booking appears at once in the calendar.

No overbooking

Two brokers booking the same group at the same moment never overlap, and the stop sales you set apply to them too.

Notifications to the broker

Changes made at the counter, cancellations, no-shows and rental closure reach the broker as signed webhooks, with automatic retries.

Photos and descriptions

Availability offers carry the model photos, served by the rental system through signed links, without copying files back and forth.

Settling up with the broker

You always know what they owe you and what you owe them

Every confirmation, cancellation and contract closure writes its own entry in the broker's ledger.

Four ways to pay

Pay at the counter, prepaid voucher, deposit kept by the broker or agency on account with a credit limit: the booking is confirmed on the broker's guarantee, with no fake payments.

Commissions by period

Percentage and optional fixed fee by period and by group, on the rate, on the rate plus extras or on the total. The one in force on the booking date applies.

Cancellations and no-shows

Cancellation windows and no-show penalty as agreed with each broker: credit reversal and penalty are calculated automatically.

Statements and due dates

Balance, entries and open credits with their due date; the ageing summary shows at once who is late.

Invoices and commissions

A summary invoice to the broker is drafted from the period's credits; the broker's commission invoices are matched to the commissions accrued.

Remittances from CSV or Excel

Upload the broker's payment file: lines are matched to bookings by reference or voucher, and you only check the differences.

How a broker is connected

From the agreement to the first booking

01

Set-up

Add the broker with enabled branches, payment model, commissions and cancellation rules.

02

Credentials

We generate the broker's credentials with the agreed permissions and hand over the documentation for its developers.

03

Testing

The broker tests search, booking and cancellation; you see them in the calendar and in its statement.

04

Live

Bookings arrive on their own; at month end you check the statement, issue the summary invoice and reconcile the transfers.

Frequent questions

Are you already connected to DiscoverCars, Rentalcars or others?

No broker is connected out of the box: the Broker API is open and each broker connects with its own credentials. Activation and testing are done together during onboarding.

Does the Broker API cost extra?

No. Broker bookings become contracts like any other and fall under the fee per closed contract.

Can I give a broker different prices?

The broker sees the prices of the price list you assign through its sales channel; its commission is set by period and by group.

Is the invoice to the broker ready for tax purposes?

The summary invoice is created as a draft with the rate of the bookings (VAT or IGIC): check the broker's tax treatment with your accountant before issuing it.
